PRESENTAZIONE OJM & VIDEO In video gli OJM con "Talking About Revolutions", estratto dal terzo ed ultimo lavoro "The Light Album" uscito per Go Down Records/Audioglobe. I paladini nostrani dello stoner/rock n roll, stimatissimi in Europa ed Inghilterra, dopo aver condiviso il palco con MC5 (usa), Motorpsycho, Marlene Kuntz, Gorilla (uk), e Brant Bjork (ex batterista Kyuss e Fu Manchu) estraggono un video mozzafiato stravagante, simpatico ironio....da vedere! Il Futuro? Intanto tour italiano, inglese e, dopo l'esibizione con MC5 è nata la collaborazione con Michael Davis che, probabilmente vestirà i panni di produttore nel loro prossimo disco. In fase di definizione l'entrata in studio!!! OJM Talking About Revolution Italia 2005 - PAL - 5 min. 20" Produzione: OJM & GoDown Records Regia e soggetto: Luca Camilotto Montaggio: Matteo Spigariol Talking About Revolution è il secondo video degli OJM. Pur essendo una produzione a bassissimo costo, è stato girato quasi interamente con la tecnica del Chroma key. Ha visto la collaborazione di molte persone e ha richiesto una lavorazione lunga, soprattutto in fase di montaggio. Il video-clip si svolge in due luoghi: quello reale in cui un capriccioso dittatore si diletta con uno strano macchinario nella sua personale sala giochi; e quello virtuale della scena sullo schermo in cui si muovono i personaggi manovrati dal dittatore. In un delirio infantile questo despota si diverte a muovere i fili di personaggi simili a marionette, che lui pesca a caso dalla sua scatola, per poi sbatterli sul palcoscenico-schermo e fargli fare quello che gli salta in mente. La colonna sonora di questo mega video-game è affidata ovviamente agli OJM, rapiti dal mondo reale e sbattuti direttamente nel macchinario come le altre figure del gioco. Tutto questo finchè il meccanismo dura… perché poi ad un certo punto qualcosa inizia a non funzionare più e il dittatorre perde il controllo del suo macchinario. Allora i personaggi si muovono da soli, i ruoli si invertono, gli scenari si mescolano....E gli OJM rimangono lì sospesi ed abbandonati fino alla prossima partita. L'idea originaria prende ispirazione dalla copertina del disco Strange Days dei Doors, in cui personaggi bizzarri si mescolano creando un'atmosfera surreale. Despite being a low cost production, it's been almost entirely shot with the technique of the Chroma key. Many people worked at this video and it took a long preparation, especially in the editing phase. The scenes are developed in two places: a real room in which a capricious dictator pleases himself with a strange machinery; and a virtual setting in which we see all the characters controlled by the dictator. In a childish delirium this despot has a good time moving the threads of characters similar to marionettes, that he picks randomly from a box, and then puts them on a sort of stage-screen making them act like fools. The soundtrack of this mega video-game is obviously played by OJM, who are placed on the stage as well. At least until the mechanism lasts… because then all of a sudden something stops working and the dictator loses the control of its machinery. At this point the characters are left alone, the roles are reversed, the sceneries mixed all together and once he realizes he lost definitely the control, the dictator gives up, like a child abandons his broken toy. And the OJM remain there, suspended and abandoned up to the next game. Original idea takes inspiration from the cover of the Doors' album Strange Days, in which eccentric characters are mixed together creating a surreal atmosphere. |
