OJM recording new album

OJM will be in the Red House Studio in Senigallia to record their new Album and Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the stone Age) will be working daily alongside them via skype, since he was unable to join them because of the suspension of flights due to the volcanic ashes from Iceland. The album will be mixed and mastered by Dave together with Edmund Monsef who has formerly worked with Arctic Monkeys, U.N.K.L.E., Master of Reality, The Duke Spirit etc. Dave Catching will join OJM in october/november 2010 on some gigs of their new album tour.

Dopo il periodo di pausa che ha seguito il tour di "under the thunder " e "l'eeviac rock show", gli OJM tornano "on stage" per due "straordinarie" date estive con una nuova formazione molto speciale!
David e Max mantengono il loro consono ruolo di vocalist e drummer, ma per l'occasione il bassista Andrew Pozzy passa alle chitarre (dopo l'esperienza maturata con The Sade) sostituendo Alex che abbandona la band per alcuni mesi per motivi personali. Il ruolo di quarto elemento passa alle mani di Stefano Pasky che subentra al piano bass e organo, gią ospite degli OJM durante l'eeviac rock show e componente fondamentale dei Poison Deluxe dove milita anche Max come batterista in compagnia di Frank Puglie (ex OJM).
In via del tutto eccezionale i nuovi OJM proporranno uno spettacolo che mantiene il classico "marchio di fabbrica" OJM ma che si evolve in diramazioni pił psichedeliche e meno speed - rock n' roll, presentando un hard rock dai sapori pił vintage e meno agressivi!

OJM Under the thunder LP We are proud to announce the release of the forth OJM album “Under the Thunder”, which was recorded by Andreas Venetis at Red House Studio in Senigallia, under the supervision of an exceptional and great experienced producer: the original bassist of MC5 Michael Davis!

Its massive sound, an irresistible mix of Led Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, Stooges, MC5, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Kyuss and Fu Manchu, credits OJM to be one of the best and charismatic bands in the international ‘70 influenced scene.

This album proves to be brilliant, no elements of it disappoint: a thunderstorm of stargazing riffs enhanced by psychedelic, desert atmosphere grant to listeners a unique sonorous jewel, beginning with the most entertaining single “Sixties”, during the recording of which Michael Davis jumped out of mixer to pop into backing vocals.

“Under the Thunder” is a rebel and looming album, intense, emotional, aggressive and provocative exactly as OJM’s mood is. One would say it is an epochal album, one it is the next Big Thing. Trust me when I say that this is not the matter: we are talking about emotional resonance.
